The purpose of our deaf ministry here at Bethany is to help Deaf people begin and grow in a personal relationship wtih Jesus Christ. Our Deaf Ministry Team, led by a dedicated group of Deaf leaders, is the catalyst for a range of ministry opportunities for Deaf people - and, Deaf people also serve in a broad range of ministries across the spectrum of our church such as:
Visual Worship and drama, communications and publicity, web team, missions, facilities and grounds maintenance, special events, children's ministry, and Bible teaching
Worship:
Deaf people worship at the 10:30 service at Bethany which provides both a high quality, professional interpreter in American Sign Language as well as real time captioning (CART). All of our music is presented in a visual format as well.
Activities:
The Deaf ministry team hosts a monthly potluck after the 10:30 service. (Check the events page for the next one!) Many other activities are church-wide events in which deaf and hearing people interact together.
